Nepean Animal Hospital Well Pet Vet Christmas Santa Photo Booth

We are proud too have been selected by Nepean Animal Hospital in Penrith to have hosted their Santa Pet shoot photo booth this year. The response was fantastic with many pet owners taking advantage of having their favourite furry family members photographed with Santa. 10% of all sales were donated to the Save Our Strays charity which assist in housing and caring for stray animals.

Here are a few photos from the Photo Booth. The rest of the album is here.

Blacktown Workers Netball Club

August marked the month that we were contracted to provide photography services for Blacktown Workers Netball Club. After a test shoot in July, the club's Board and President were very impressed with our work and we were given the go ahead to shoot the end of year games for their eight teams.

In consultation with the club and it's players, their brief was that they wanted more than just the usual formal group shots of the teams which was apparently what they'd had in previous years from other photographers.

Our photojournalism style of photography provided them with action shots of players captured as they battled it out on the courts. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of the fast paced sport and all feedback has been positive with congratulations and thanks from the club and it's players on the final product we provided. The club also requested use of our images for their promotional activities and also for club archival purposes which we have agreed to.

We look forward to a continued association with Blacktown Workers Netball Club in 2015 and beyond. Sample images below.

2014 Sydney Vivid Lights Festival - Franklin Konaraki Photography Vivid Lights City Walk.

The Vivid Lights Festival commences this weekend. What better time to dust off your camera and join us for a photography walk this Saturday evening. It'll be a great opportunity to capture some colourful images of the dazzling light displays using the beautiful Sydney Harbour and the city skyline as the backdrop.

The walk is open to anyone that has an interest in photography and of any level of expertise. Beginners are most welcome!

It is a social outing and free of any costs. All you have to do is get yourself to the city and home afterwards.

The walk will take us to a number of good locations where you can practice your photography skills and will include tips and advice from your friendly host! We'll also have an opportunity to try some light painting shots where you can show your creativity.

Register your interest via our Facebook page at Franklin Konaraki Photography, email to or call 0413 919 889.

Girmit Divas - Indian Festival - Austral, western Sydney.

A celebration in dance, singing, music, prayer and food.

Indian-Fijian community commemorating the anniversary of the arrival in Fiji of the indentured labourers on 14 May 1879.

Today we attended the Indian festival and set up a Photo Booth where we were offering a studio quality photo shoot and providing an 8 x 10" photo printed on high quality photo paper on the day. Our clients also had the option to have their photo framed.

The day started for us at 8am and ran through to late evening. We were treated to song, dance, colour, and the wonderful aromas of the scrumptious foods and delicacies of India.

The festival had a great turnout and we had a great response our photo booth service from visitors.

Another busy day of marketing and developing some of the ideas I've had on the drawing board for a while. Keep watching my website for updates in the coming weeks.

In the last twelve months or so, I have been asked by numerous friends, colleagues and acquaintances to put together a basic training package for novices.  For people who have an interest in photography and want simple easy to understand theory and hands on tuition on how to use their DSLR cameras.

I've always enjoyed sharing tips and what knowledge I have with anyone that has asked for help, yet I never considered putting together a training package of sorts or let alone run a class.

So.... a beginners course on how to use your DSLR and the basics of digital photography is now in the making. I hope to have the course content finalised in the coming weeks and will update my website with course information and pricing.

Monday saw me traveling west of the Blue Mountains on an overnight commissioned photo shoot for a client.  I had the pleasure of staying in a gorgeous turn of the century timber cottage nestled on an acre of gardens. I was surrounded by autumn colours of deciduous Japanese Maples and Liquidambars. I couldn't pass up the opportunity of taking some shots of the gardens and streets to showcase the beauty of the Blue Mountains at this time of year.

Hi and welcome!

Ive been entertaining the idea of dedicating a page on my website specifically to cover what I see as notable events or developments that I want to share, but I just haven't got around to it until now.

With the worldwide advances in social networking sites such as Facebook, one has to wonder if blogs are still a useful way to communicate ideas, developments, and to share news and links.  I suppose time will tell!  For now, I hope you enjoy my posts.
